I still reject shipments when the part number is off. But now I also ask questions like: what is the first thing a user will do wrong? What piece of documentation is missing? How long will it take before a normal person can get this working without a support ticket?
Panasonic telephone systems aren't the cheapest, and I would never claim they are perfect. But for our size, they worked. The Duraforce Ultra 5G felt solid in the hand, and the phone system gave us a clean rollout. More importantly, the way the equipment looked and behaved affected how confident our employees felt. In a world where the chip shortage can stretch a lead time from 5 weeks to 20, the strongest system is the one that actually shows up, sets up, and turns on.
