Why Are Phones Indestructible? The Panasonic DuraForce Ultra 5G Rescue Story

At 7:14 on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, my phone rang while I was still on my first cup of coffee. It was a warehouse manager in Wichita, Kansas. He didn't say hello. He said, 'We have a problem.'

A pallet jack had rolled into the break-room bench where his team kept the phones. The charging cradle was bent. Two cordless handsets were snapped cleanly in half. So no, phones are not indestructible. But a well-matched rugged phone, a fast repair network, and a checklist that catches the small mistakes can make an emergency much smaller than it initially looks.
